Pease Public Library Food Pantry: The Pease Public Library has a public-access food pantry! Visitors can find this located on the bottom floor of the library across from our book sale room.
New Book of the Day: Looking for a new book and having a hard time narrowing it down? Check out the front desk for the Fiction & Non-Fiction Book of the Day! Each book is hand-picked by library staff daily and is indicated with a hot pink “Book of the Day” tag. Come check them out!

Children and their adults can join a staff member for stories, songs or rhymes, and a movement activity. 10:15-10:30 is for ages 0-3, and 10:30-10:45 is for ages 3-5.
Wednesdays, July 8 & 22: 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM: Book Buddies
Come read to Jack! Jack is a registered therapy dog and will be coming to the children’s room (with his handler) on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month. Reading to Jack is a great way for struggling and reluctant readers to build confidence and for shy kids to talk in a non-judgmental space.
Thursdays, July 2, 9, 16, 23, & 30: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Sensory Play
Join us in the hour before Thursday Storytime for lots of sensory fun! Your child will touch, smell, see and hear so many fun things. Activities may include kinetic sand, soap and water, finger paints, colored ice, and more!

This workshops’ materials cover online safety, including protecting accounts and identities, and how to safeguard yourself against fraudsters and scams. It will build participants’ confidence when visiting websites, using text messaging and email, making phone calls, and playing online games.

Our interactive programs are perfect for fostering a love of reading, learning, and nature among patrons of all ages. Designed to engage children, teens, and adults alike, our shows offer a unique opportunity to explore the fascinating lives of reptiles. Our knowledgeable educators present captivating stories about various species, their habitats, and the importance of conservation. With live reptiles on display, attendees can enjoy a hands-on experience that enhances their understanding of these incredible creatures.

Is your bookshelf full but your windowsill looking a little bare? Or maybe your pothos has staged a hostile takeover of your living room? It’s time to spread the green at our 2026 Adult Summer Reading Program: Plant a Seed & Unearth a Story plant swap Whether you’re a “pro-plant-inator” or a seasoned “plant parent,” come join us for an afternoon of swapping stories, seeds, and sprouts.
How It Works:
Bring One, Take One: Bring a healthy, pest-free potted plant, a rooted cutting, or a packet of seeds to trade.
The “Unearth” Station: Not sure what you have? We’ll have identification app on hand to help you label your new green friends. (I have one)
The Swap Shop: Browse the “adoption” table and find a new leafy companion to take home. No plant to swap? No worries—we usually have plenty of “orphans” looking for a good home!
What to Bring:
Cuttings in jars or damp paper towels.
Potted plants (small to medium preferred).
Any extra gardening tools or decorative pots you no longer use.
Come dig into a new hobby and leave with a fresh chapter for your home garden. We can’t wait to see what you’re growing!

Thursday, July 16: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM: Alma Grand Artist Reception
Join us on Thursday July 16th at 6PM for an Artist Reception with our July Artist Alma Grand. Light Refreshments generously funded by the Young Ladies Library Association. Alma E. Grand is a native of El Paso, Texas who has lived, taught, and created art in Campton, NH since 1977. Alma is a multidisciplinary artist whose work spans painting, sculpture, and art history. Under the direction of Plymouth State University Professor Annette Mitchell, Alma mastered multi-plate printmaking. This technique serves as the ultimate vehicle for her creative expression, synthesizing a lifetime of artistic study into vibrant, layered prints. In the last several years, Alma has rediscovered painting on Arches Cover paper and stretched canvas using acrylics, guaches, and oils. She has also found great joy in creating art “en plein air” with watercolor and pastel chalk. “This exhibition includes a series of ink-on-paper portraits of women artists. In 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, I began a study of these women artists -- researching their lives & studying their art. As a result, I came to fully embrace and appreciate my own artistic freedoms. This experience has given me strength and inspired me to create new work”.

CALLING ALL LITERARY DETECTIVES! Dust off your magnifying glasses and grab a cold drink—it’s time for our next Adult Book Club on Tuesday July 21st at 2PM. This month, we’re stepping back in time to 19th-century New England for a story that’s as chilling as it is true. Malice Aforethought by Avree Kelly Clark, think CSI meets Little House on the Prairie (but way darker). We’re diving into the 1870s to talk about local New Hampshire history, Victorian-era scandals, and two brutal crimes that had everyone locking their doors back in the day.
